Bbmaj9 Guitar Chord | Play, Hear and Practice with Our Tool
To build Bbmaj9, the Bb major ninth chord, take root Bb, major third D, fifth F, major seventh A and ninth C.
Six voicings are mapped out here, one of them with open strings and five using a barre. Lydian is the other classic match: the Bb Lydian scale contains all five chord tones and has a raised fourth. For contrast, see how dominant chords handle tension where this one stays at rest.
Set a tempo in the chord player above, start the drums and play Bbmaj9 along with the loop.
